Sounds of St. James: Great Piano Miniatures
Join us for the return of the Sounds of St. James Concerts on Sunday, April 14 at 4:00pm for a performance by the internationally renowned concert pianist Halida Dinova, with special guests Ariel Londono and Sebastian Birch.
Dr. Dinova will perform a concert of Great Piano Miniatures from Bach-Busoni, Scarlatti, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schubert, Chopin, Brahms, Scriabin, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, and Liszt.
Born in Kazan, Russia, Halida Dinova earned her doctorate in piano performance from Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg, and her Ph.D. in Music History from the International Researchers Program, Moscow. She received her master’s degree in piano pedagogy and performance from the Kazan State Zhiganov Conservatory in St. Petersburg, and her artist diploma in piano performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
A prizewinner of several international competitions, Dr. Dinova has performed with some of Europe's finest orchestras. She has toured North and South America, Europe, and Asia, performing in prestigious venues in London, Berlin, New York, St. Petersburg, Edinburgh, and Beijing. In 2022 she was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall, receiving critical acclaim.
Concert admission is free. A free-will offering is suggested. Refreshments will be served following the concert.
